Last weekend was the inaugural weekend for a great fall of Cyclocross racing! For those of you unfamiliar with CycloCross, it is a timed race (20-60 minutes depending on the level of racers) around a short course that incorporates dirt, cement, sand pits, hill climbs, descents, and to top it off toss in some barriers that the racers have to dismount and jump over with their bikes! Of all of the types of bike racing, CycloCross is the most spectator friendly - it was the only reason I braved wet, cold Seattle October - November Sundays for 3 years!
