Another exciting week at the Velopark. This was my first race after 4 weeks off due to a broken rib or two. I was late to the line so I failed to get a start that would launch me to the front of the race. As you know, being relegated early only puts you further from the front of the race in the first two laps. It changes the race to one of just moving up, which is it's own kind of fun. I managed to do that fairly well, as the video should show.
Only one crash, but it was a funny one. I "turtled" and didn't even come unclipped. I have gotten so good at crashing, it has become fluid.

This Saturday, 11/19, is the Idaho State Cyclocross championships, brought to you by Broken Spoke! There will be great racing, food, drink, music, and a lot of fun folks out at Sandy Point (Lucky Peak dam), with racing beginning at 11:00. Also, there will be glasses and custom t-shirts for sale to raise money for the Boise Bicycle Project ($10.00/glass & $20.00/t-shirt). Sunday will be the 8th annual Toys For Tots US Marine Corps toy drive, so whether you are racing or cheering someone one, bring a toy out to make a child's holiday season a little better!
